Push Back Darkness

We’re in a three week series arc focusing on our stated mission of Love God :: Love People :: Push Back Darkness. Here is the idea behind Push Back Darkness.

“Jesus came to destroy the works of the Devil. A blanket of darkness covered everywhere Jesus went. Jesus was the light of the world and darkness could not stop Him. Sinners were forgiven, the sick were healed, the hungry were fed, and the oppressed were set free. Jesus called his followers the light of the world. We are sent into dark places to shine the light of Jesus.

We are missionaries to our jobs, schools, friends, neighborhoods and cities. We are not armed with the weapons of bad attitudes and picket signs, but with the mighty weapons of the Holy Spirit so we can bring His Kingdom of hope, love, healing, service, passion, beauty and light to dark places. Frontline is a place where light meets darkness and the darkness runs.”
