This is not your average sermon series on marriage. We won’t give you five steps to happiness. We won’t talk about sex in code. We won’t talk about how you can fix your marriage. No, this is a sermon series about Jesus—and what he has to say about marriage through the Bible.

Most sermon series on marriage dance around the hard issues people really need to know about – the importance of friendship in marriage, the effects of pornography, what constitutes sexual abuse, and “Can we do that in bed?” questions.

You’re invited to join us as we talk candidly about what the Bible says on these issues and more in a way that’s practical and helpful.

The Sing – Citywide Worship

We are very excited to be able to host The Sing on February 26th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The sing is an evening of citywide worship for anyone and everyone, for hope and healing, for unity, and for city transformation. Worship leaders include Charlie Hall, Marcy Priest, Joel Limpic, and Stephen Cole and will benefit Marked OKC.

Marked exists to mobilize the Church to fully engage in a Biblical response to marginalized women locally and globally. This event will encourage every person in Oklahoma City to make tangible and long-lasting changes in their lives that positively impact women. We are committed to offering the information and education we all need to understand how to serve women locally and globally. And, we believe the Church of Oklahoma City can lead the way in caring for the marginalized. We’re simply a group of people who care about the treatment of women and are coming together to do something about it. We’re volunteers, mothers, teachers, nonprofit leaders, business owners–and we know everyone can make a difference when we are educated and aware.

Central Beliefs of MARKED:

Women should never be marked by statistics of death, of torture, or of fear.

Women should be marked by love, hope, and a future.

We can accomplish this better together than apart.

EVERY person can play a part in bringing love, hope, and a future to women.

The Church of Oklahoma City can lead the way in caring for the marginalized.

This will be at Frontline’s Downtown Campus, 1104 N. Robinson in downtown Oklahoma City.

Jesus is God, Jesus is with God, Jesus is the light, Jesus is life. Light in the Darkness book of John

John 1:1-13

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.

9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
